October 15th- 6:45 PM
Posted October 16th, 2007 by willTonight the CGA reaches a milestone. We have been on the road for over 7 months now- the 5 of us living and working, in and out of the bus, on a mission to get to talk to as many folks as we can, mostly one at a time about living green lives. With the support of our 14 fantastic sponsors we have made it across the country and we are currently en route back west and are in the middle of the desert just past Salt Lake and the surrounding Salt Desert, so amazing.
I hope we will see some of you at either Greenfest West or Bioneers this weekend.
So much to do- all I can do is promise more recent pics as soon as we land on the coast.
Much Love

Vacation
Posted September 13th, 2007 by will2 of our original crew members only lasted 4 months then went home. Nikki goes home every other month for at least a week. Dani and I have been on the bus everyday since March 1 and need some time off. She actually went home a few days ago for a week and a half to return Tuesday or so.
When she gets back I am taking some time off the bus. Although I can do some work in advance my job never stops. Setting up the tour and managing the day to day functions, keeping up with the 15 or so sponsors and thier promotional matierals and samples fully stocked on the bus, etc keep me moving. I'll be able to sit down for a few hours each day at home, get calls made for the next leg of the tour, then enjoy sweet home chicago, family, friends and peace/quiet.
Thanks for keeping up with us-
See you soon

Posted September 13th, 2007 by willWhat a pleasure it was to go the Whole Foods in Charlottesville. The store is beautiful, as are the folks at the store. Sandy Hucksteps, the marketing team leader was so happy to have us and made great signage for our visit. She was expecting her second grandchild any minute that day so she was very happy and excited all day, as I imagine seh is most days. The staff loved our bus and mission- hopefully we left them with new ideas on a green(er) lifestyle.
That night we had a 4 hour drive to Maryland and slept in a storage facility parking lot after some scary driving experiences.
Off to another Whole Foods location now so we will see you soon

The Veggie bus bites the big apple at Farm Aid
Posted September 13th, 2007 by willThe crisp and cool morning weather is starting to kick in which smells and feels wonderful when stepping off the stuffy bus. The east coast leg of our tour was full of adventure. Last weekend espically. Friday night we stopped by a party on a NY pier hosted by the city. Our friend Jill from Sunfood Nutrition told us about it, introduced us to a nice dj and we set up on the street above the pier with our own wheels of steel pounding out disco and house music on the sidewalk. When the event let out around 11pm folks heard our tunes, came up, toured the bus and danced for another hour with us to the wax I served up.

Posted September 6th, 2007 by willToday I got new glasses and while out on a personal mission the crew met some great green minded musicians playing a gig in Philly. We took the bus out here and are parked by UPenn waiting for the show to start a locally owned coffee bar/liquor bar.
The stores the last few days have been great. Ruth, the Wynnwood marketing contact invited us back to her house for an amazing vegan raw meal we all helped make. Her 2 daughters, stepson and grandson all live in a beautiful 6 bedroom house full of love and familiar home scents.
Everyone in NYC must come see us at Farm Aid! This sunday on Randalls Island, NY. Bring your jimbe!

Posted September 3rd, 2007 by willWe made it through our 2 weeks in NYC and Long Island. In that time we visited a biodynamic farm and home to many out of this world folks. We got great spots for the bus right outside of most of the fantastic Whole Foods Markets in the city too.
We were interviewed by Fox5 NYC and the bit aired nationally- many of you finding this blog may have been directed to the site through the segment. To those folks- Welcome to the Conscious Goods Alliance and our family.
Look for us and the bus at this year's Farm Aid in NYC. We'll have a blast!
We arrived in Philly and the crew got a day or 2 to sightsee- something we don't always have time for. Check thier blogs for takes on Philly. The neighborhoods are pretty run down and there's lots of crime and homelessness. Our headlight was smashed out in broad daylight, I have been verbally attacked, and found fruitflies crawling out of a sandwich I ordered.
Thanks for your continued support, comments and love. It's nice to have friends when you are on the road. Check out te photo gallery for new photos all week!

Thank you New Jersey, it's nice to be here
Posted August 9th, 2007 by willToday was our first stop in NJ and it went great. We met some fantastic folks. Ellie in Marketing took great care of us, including letting us send some packages there.
I took off early to rest my head because I've got a bad cold.
Nikki, Danielle and Garrett took good care of the demos and bus tours. Garrett is great- we are all so glad he came aboard.
Off to NYC next week. What a crazy ride that will be.
More soon

Steamy August Nights
Posted August 7th, 2007 by willIt's HOT in the north east this time of year! We have been falling asleep in pools of our own sweat waking up the same way. This evening there's a nice breeze on the tree lined street we have the bus parked on. We can't be here all night but it's great for now- too many mosquitos. The windows open wide as you can see in our pictures so that wind is cooling off the interior some. Danielle, Nikki, Garrett and Elicia walked around the pond we are next to for a shower and dip at a public pool.
Where to next? Log on and find out!
